New Powder Coating on Raymond® Die Springs

MAUMEE, Ohio – December 13, 2021 — Raymond® Standard US Inch Series Die Springs have been upgraded to bring a better finish and inventory to a century-old, industry-trusted product. The new powder-coated finish is replacing the former dip and spin paint process to provide a better, long-term finish and better coating adhesion, corrosion resistance, surface coverage, and color alignment. No changes from the customer’s perspective are needed as this rollout is ongoing and will replace the current inventory of Raymond Die Springs.

The powder-coated finish is not an entirely new process as it has been used in ASRaymond’s ISO-D and JIS Die Spring product lines since their inception. The trademarked colors known to ASRaymond are an exact match as well, with a finish that has the durability expected from a 135-year-old product line.

“There is no doubt that the aesthetic result speaks for themselves, but this change is more than just appearances,” said Global Product Manager Robert Thompson. “Transitioning to a powder coating from the dip and spin finish will lead to a better long-term inventory of products in both our warehouse and through our distribution networks.

“This is a significant advancement to one of our oldest product lines that are tried and tested to industry standards in our signature trademark colors. There is no need for our customers to do anything to ensure they receive Die Springs with the new coating as they are being rolled out under the same part numbers.”

As a leader in the industrial Die Spring market, ASRaymond is constantly innovating and improving products to keep up with emerging trends. Where advancement and improvement can be made, ARaymond’s global team of engineers is working to create better spring products to advance our portfolio and provide better options for our customers.
